Waltz I was written for The Perfect Grey, a short film that I also directed, and is performed within the film itself. There is also a Waltz II, but it had not been released at the time of this writing. In the story, when the protagonist returns to the cabin where she is staying, her close friend is playing this song on an old upright piano. However this recording was newly recorded on a grand in the studio after the film was completed.
